Pat Pothier “Lady” – 2015
- Graduate of Leominster High School – Class of ’47
- Hired as physical Education Teaher 1951-1971
- Coached Field Hockey 28 years
- Coached softball 30 years
- Pioneered and championed Women’s Sports at Leominster High School
- Unlike men’s sport coaches she received no pay, for a decade, before the system changed. She ran every car wash and bake sale to raise money for uniforms etc.
- Always put kids over wins and yet the girls Field Hockey Team rarely missed playoffs

- Softball team in the 70’s & ’80 went to Districts 8 out of 10 years
- Her career coaching record in Softball – 215 wins – 103 losses
- Not liking being called coach, her players started calling her “Lady” – The name has stuck for 63 years
- Started the Leominster Chapter of the G.A.A. (Girls Athletic Association) She ran it for 27 years
- Presided over the awarding of the coveted “White Blazer” presented to senior girls who participate in four varsity sports by their senior year
- Leominster High School Guidance Counselor from 1971-1995
- 1986 – Massachusetts Counselor of the Year
- 1994 – Inducted into the Massachusetts Softball Hall of Fame
- 1995 – Selected as City of Leominster citizen of the Year
- One of the founders of the LHS Alumni Scholarship Fund
- Served for many years on the Leominster Recreation Commission
- 44 years of dedication to her community, high school, students and her players – Truly a “Lady”
