Michael Marchand – 2015

Graduate of Leominster High School – Class of 1968
Started playing baseball at 4 yrs old in Fitchburg for Gus Johnson
At 7 years of age, he started pitching for Leominster National Little League
TAG at Babe Ruth
Leominster High School – greatly influenced by, in his words, “The BEST baseball coach in the nation”, Emile Johnson
His High School era was an amazing .076
His Senior year the LHS Baseball Team had a 19-0 record before losing late in the Play-Offs

Attended Mount Wachusett Community
Scouted by the Boston Red Sox, Oakland As’ and Braves
1970 Selected to the Record American Team – pitched in Fenway Park, facing Carlton Fisk

Played for 3 years in a Braves’ sponsored East Coast Team
When he was offered a good position at the Foster Grant Company, using his college skills, he chose to support his family and took the job. But, “never gave up his love for baseball“
