- Graduate of Leominster High School – Class of 1963
- LHS Swim Team 1961, 1962, 1963
- Won all his 1963 regular season competitions
- Placed 2nd in State Diving Championship—1962
- Won State Diving Championship – 1963
- Competed in the New England Interscholastic 1963 meet
- Competed at junior college level before earning a scholarship for diving to attend the University of Miami
- At Miami he was a hopeful to attend the 1968 Olympics
