Donald Franciosi – 2018

Graduate of Fitchburg High School – Class of 1954
First started playing tennis as a Freshman at FHS
Went on to become the No. 1 ranked player at FHS
Leominster High School Boys Varsity Tennis Coach for 34 years 1970-2004
Several Leominster players participated in many individual and doubles district tournaments

Coached at Fitchburg State University 1964-1968 and his teams had two undefeated seasons
In the 1970’s he organized eight tournaments each summer at Fitchburg’s Coolidge Park, drawing more than 120 players for each events.
Past member of Lawn Tennis Association and New England Tennis Association

Involved with tennis as a player, coach and recreation director for Fitchburg and Leominster
Supervised Tennis Programs for adults and children for 40 years
Leominster school administrator for many years
Member at Hallandale Tennis Club and volunteered in assisting activities
