LHS Athletic Hall of Fame announces Class of 2017

The Leominster High School Athletic Hall of Fame has announced its 2017 induction class. Fourteen individuals, along with three teams, will be honored during an induction ceremony May 6 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Leominster.

The following individuals will be honored for their accomplishments:

-*- Individual athletes: Thorton Willard ’38 (track), Ronald Saudelli ’52 (track/multiple sports), Nancy Cosenza ’57 (field hockey/multiple sports), Jack Boissoneau ’59 (swimming), Frank Cipriani ’60 (basketball), David Campbell ’70 (track), Noreen McLaughlin ’73 (multiple sports), Raymond Richard ’73 (hockey), Ted Rockwell ’76 (baseball), Lynne Denning-Keenan ’81 (softball/multiple sports), Jason Rushioni ’91 (golf) and Dhamana Shakespeare-Turner ’92 (track and field).

-*- Coach: Emile Johnson (soccer/ baseball), winningest coach in LHS history.

In addition, the Leominster High School Athletic Hall of Fame Board of Directors has selected for induction the following Leominster High School teams: 1986 co-ed state champion soccer team, 1988 state champion softball team and the undefeated 1957-58 basketball team.
